Summary:
There is nothing like a good deli, and when it comes to good delis, McAlisters is tops.
Our first time at this massive restaurant we were greeted by a staff member and asked if we had been there before.
Of course we hadn't so he handed us a paper menu from a display just inside the door and began to explain how ordering worked.

The waiter offered to bring us drinks, and we sipped those while discussing what we would order.
You call the shots, choosing your breads, meats, and cheeses. Their speciality is stuffed potatoes, and I need to warn you, order one and split it.
This potato is about 10 inches long and piled high with the toppings you choose. You can see in the image above it is nearly twice as long as the fork.

If you add it to a sandwich you need a doggy bag. We order a corn beef and pastrami on a wheat roll, and a potato, and had them divide both in half, so we could share. There was no room left to try their fabulous deserts.
We received prompt service and refills on our drinks, even providing a lid for the cup so we could take a full drink with us to go.
Restrooms were clean and modern, the dining area was very clean, with walls covered with memorabilia. This restaurant is very busy, even during the slack periods, a favorite with locals. I advise during the peak seasons, you arrive early. Although it does seat a lot of customers, it is not hard to imagine that it fills up fast.
We tried this place twice, and both times, it was fabulous. They have an outside patio for nice weather dining. It is off Highway 501, near 17 and the Coastal Grand Mall, between Home Depot and the Coastal Grand Mall.
He was right, the massive menu was overwhelming and I had to ask to be seated to view it in order to make up my mind. Ordering is done at the counter., and the menu is on the wall there. Yes, it is massive.
