Sunrise Myrtle Beach, SC, USA
Summary:
If you are looking for an unusual dining experience, you might pop over to the Key West Grill at the Broadway At The Beach mall. We stopped in on Christmas Eve, hoping it would not be too busy, and we were right. We were seated right away, and our waitress, Tammy, greeted us promptly. After a great deal of thought and menu browsing, we finally made our selections. Kim had the Big Torch Key Chicken, and added on a house salad with the house dressing, Soy Ginger. I ordered the 14oz Blackened Pork Chop, and added on a Caesar salad.

The generous portion salads and main courses were served with hot homemade bread, that had a gentle sweet flavor, likely from being brushed with honey butter. But, it was not greasy or over-bearing.
Tammy, was right on top of everything, and had either the training, or at minimum the good sense to pick up the salad dishes, before bringing the main course. We haven't seen that in a long time. Ata girl.Ata girl. She was friendly, and was an asset to the experience.
The salads are topped with a tasty Caribbean flavored, homemade style crouton, and Kim's Soy Ginger Salad Dressing was to die for. The Big Torch Chicken, was tender boneless chicken breast topped with an apple, raisin, and pecan sauce that really set this chicken aside from any either of us had ever tasted. The chicken came wth black beans and rice, and pea with pods-baby carott-pimento medley.

My pork chop was 1" thick, and came with red mashed potatoes with skins, mixed with cheese and jalapeno peppers. I was afraid to order the potatoes , fearing they might be too spicy, but they were delightful. The pork chop had excellent flavor but was just a bit under-cooked in the center, pink, and fleshy. It is the reason Key West Grill didn't get a score of 10.
The restroom was every bit as nice as the dining area, and was clean, modern, and well stocked with better quality supplies.
The Chicken was $15.99. The pork chop was $15.99. Two salads were $3.99 each. Meal total was $45.65. Tip for Tammy was $10.35. Total bill was $56.00
