We were in the mood for pizza, and decided to try out East Of Chicago, as we had passed it many times, and it looked very nice on the outside. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, I got the feeling we had made a mistake. I could see what appeared to be two large arcades inside. I began to have visions of Chuck E. Cheese Pizza, which I place below Dominos in quality. I looked inside to see if we should turn back. Unable to decide, I went in and asked to see the buffet. After a browse of their food, we decided to stay, just to review it.
Having spent more time in Chuck E Cheese, than I would like to admit in my lifetime, at birthday parties for dozens of children, I was pretty much expecting East Of Chicago to be the same. It wasn't.

Now, mind you the pizza there is not what I would call quality Italian pizza, but it is not cardboard either.

I have had better, but I have had much, much worst. The point is you are not really here to eat quality food, you are here to let the kids have a good time. Keep that in mind.
They have a nice selection of desert pizzas, a couple have peanut butter. See the cherry pizza pie to the left. The kids will love them. Main course pizzas, include thin crust, thick crust, vegan, meat lovers, and everything in between.

There is a salad bar and a pasta bar that include red spaghetti sauce with mushrooms and large chunks of Italian sausage, and Fettuccine Alfredo. The Fettuccine was pretty tasteless, but the sausage spaghetti sauce was not half bad.
All in all the selection covers something for everyone, if you have a need to take children some place they will have fun while they eat, and messes are not frowned upon, it is an excellent option. It is a nice rainy day agenda for those restless kids.  There is a big kids and adults game room, and a small children's game room, with a prize redemption station that has prizes for all ages, with a total of over 60 games in all. Children's buffet is $4.99, adult buffet is $7.99.
The dining room is very basic, nothing fancy. But if you are looking for a kid-friendly place, and you are a fan of Chuck E Cheese, you will love this pizza joint. It was very clean inside and guaranteed to be a kid pleaser.

Let me warn you to keep your eyes on the floor as you enter the big kids game room, or exit through it. There is a time share salesman there to the right as you enter the game room, as there are in many of the lesser grade restaurants in town. Don't make eye contact, walk quickly to the door, and you can bypass him, without discussion.
